So I just watched Moulin Rouge.
It’s such a beautiful creation. The music; the love; the beauty; the fashion; the passion; everything. I fell in love with it all over again, honestly. It’s such a…beautiful movie. I would truely love to find a man like Christian for myself. I would love to have someone that loved me like he did Satine, you know? And he says some of the most beautiful things. WOW, I AM SAYING BEAUTIFUL A LOT. But that’s exactly what this movie is. It’s…you know. But anyway, he says things like:
- “Love is like oxygen. Love is a many-splendored thing. Love lifts us up where we belong! ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE.”
- “The greatest thing you will ever learn is just to love, and be loved in return.”
- “We could be heroes, just for one day.”
Of course, they are coming from all sorts of other things..the way he says them..I LOVE IT. And at the end…I cried a single tear..when Christian started to cry. It broke my heart…again. OKAY, MOULIN ROUGE IS AMAZING. Everyone needs to watch it.
BEST MOVIE EVER! (See Billy Finnegan and Mary McManus’s Facebook wall-to-wall (a little far back now) for further clarifcation).
The ending’s silly. Why would the courtesan choose the penniless writer…oops, I mean sitar player.
Don’t worry Shakespeare. You’ll get your ending. Once the Duke gets his end…in.
