An Announcement to the World…on Writing
Hello world. I have an announcement to make to you, on writing. I wonder if the title gave that away to you or not.
As some of you may know, and others may not, I do a lot of writing in my spare time. The current story I’m working on is currently known as my Lamina Story, set in the fictional and supernatural nation of Lamina, where women have most of the power, politically, militarily, and magically. This story is not for me to publish in anywhere professional, but just for my enjoyment—some of the influences on the story, I feel, are too obvious for me to make a profit. Admitedly, it’s not as influence heavy as Eragon or some other published works, but I still would not feel comfortable showing this to the world for profit, because I have extremely high beliefs in the originality and creative property of the author, and would prefer to get less influenced work published professionally.
Well, I just completely made this story sound plagarized. It’s not…seriously, it’s not even close. It’s just too much for me and my EXTREMELY high standards (you know me, deranged perfectionist through and through).
However, it is still a story I’m writing, and will shortly be placing on fictionpress.net. Some of you have read my writing, while others of you have not. I would truly appreciate it if anyone who saw this, and the link to the story when up, would read it and give me feedback, so I can improve my writing and make everything delightfully perfect.
