Try being Coherent next time, Emily
Because all I talk about lately is Smallville, let me come and talk about something a little less Kryptonian :X.
Actually, I will start it off with a quote from Smallvile
In the episode Nicodemus Lana says
“If life doesn’t make you crazy, then why bother living it?”
Even though I despise Lana, I think this is one of the only worthwhile things she has said in all 7 seasons of her being there.
I think she means, If you aren’t going to take life for what it is, if you are not going to embrace it with the best of your ability, why bother at all. If you’re not going to give it your all, why give it something. To extend further from the quote, I think its means, that as long as you’re feeling something, no matter whether or not its positive or negative, you’re doing something right. To quote Smallville again, well indirectly quote, one of their largest themes is something along the lines of “feelings and mistakes, thats what makes you human” and they are countless amount of quotes saying the same thing. To detach yourself from feelings, you’re detaching yourself from what makes you human. To relate to another TV show, Dexter; Dexter doesn’t have feelings, so does his existence really count as living? Does the fact that he can got through a day, a week, a month, without being truly happy, being angry, being upset or being disappointed, is he even really being? This probably makes no sense to everyone reading it, because I have so many thoughts and so many things going through my head at the moment, I don’t think it’s possible for me to get them all out in a coherent matter. But I know what I am trying to say, and I guess at the end of the day, that’s all that really matters. I keep skipping around, and I can’t keep to the same topic. But what is it if I don’t say it… nothing.
I thought you made perfect sense <33…I tell people that all the time haha…minus the Smallville and Dexter references, because they’re both shows I have to watch yet don’t.
